ANNOUNCING THE WINNERS OF THE FIRST ZOBRIST CUBE CONTEST
The contest ended December 31 at midnight with several late December entries. See the list of winners
and their solutions below.
One of the winners used a computer to solve the puzzle and reported that there were 201 solutions .
Comparing this to the Big Brother (or German Wurfel) puzzle which has 14,177 solutions (ref. Scott
Kurowski), our contest puzzle is 70 times harder or should take 70 times longer for a human to solve.
It was also verified that one of the contestants solved the puzzle by hand, not by computer.

think was in the snail mail. If you can contact me again, I will put your name here and give you a special
award of $100 to make amends for my forgetfulness.
